Coding With Robots
Programs For School Districts
Program Description
The goal of the Coding With Robots program is to help cultivate a student’s exposure and interest in computer science, coding, and engineering with beginner-friendly and standards-aligned lessons.
Our goal, as a Professional Development-focused organization, is to train more educators to teach the various lessons provided by Edison, a robotics education and tools supplier.
School-Day Lessons
Our team of in-house educators is ready to help your school district by bringing our teachers in to deliver weekly school-day Coding With Robots lessons. We have 6-week, 12-week, and school break options available.
Robotics Kits
We can supply your classrooms with robots (required) and expansion packs (optional).
Professional Development
We can bring professional development to help your teachers prepare to teach a Coding With Robots curriculum. All workshop attendees will also be eligible to join our virtual mentoring, coaching, and support group to receive ongoing tips and resources after their training.
Edison’s robots can be programmed four different ways! We teach them all.
Meet Edison!
Edison empowers students to become not just coders, but problem solvers and creative thinkers. The Edison robot combined with the family of Edison’s programming languages has something for teaching a wide range of grade levels.
- Barcodes – Grades K+
- EdBlocks – Grades 2+
- EdScratch – Grades 5+
- EdPy – Grades 8+
Edison’s robotics system is also LEGO brick compatible and can be used as the programmable base for an assortment of engaging, project-based STEM projects.
Program Partners
Through our partnership with Smart Learning Solutions, a MD-based non-profit that promotes STEM Education and 21st Century Learning, we are able to offer the Edison robotics kits, expansion packs, and teaching materials created by Edison.
