Sometimes We Code In April
In April 2018, we held our first hackathon to help a small group of middle and high school girls design a group chat app using the Ionic Framework. Because of the success and excitement that came out of that day, we decided we’d do it again and make it an annual event. So, here we are!
It’s April 2019 and time for our annual hackathon – “Sometimes We Code In April“.
Just like last year, the audience for this event will be exclusive. We were invited to partner with Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services and hold our event exclusively for the residents near the Kingsley Commons Community Technology Center in Falls Church, VA.
We are thrilled that this hackathon will also double as a kickoff to announce an exclusive Summer Coding Club that we’ll be launching at Kingsley this June!
If you are a parent that wants to learn more and register your child, please visit our hackathon registration page.
We are still accepting volunteers, please contact us if you’re interested in helping lead a fun coding-related activity (instructions will be provided) or with other event coordination needs.
